Do you know of a dog that has acted valiantly to protect a human? They say that a dog is man’s best friend. Often, they’re also lifesavers – literally. Dogs are smart enough to know when something is wrong and to act on it. And they care enough about people to do it. For the second year the Humane Society of the United States and Petplan are sponsoring the Dogs of Valor awards. If you know of a dog that deserves to be considered, go to the Humane Society’s website to nominate him or her.
